Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: Adel, Georgia (Hybrid / Limited Remote Flexibility)
Pay: $70,000 – $95,000 per year (Depending on Experience and Certifications)

About the Role
The Cybersecurity Analyst monitors, analyzes, and defends AEGIS networks and client environments against potential threats. You’ll perform vulnerability assessments, manage endpoint protection, investigate alerts, and help design secure network architectures. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone passionate about proactive defense, risk management, and continuous learning in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network and system security alerts across client and internal environments
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and document findings
- Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts with engineering teams
- Assist with security audits, policy creation, and compliance documentation (HIPAA, PCI, NIST, etc.)
- Maintain SIEM dashboards and develop alert tuning rules
- Deploy and manage endpoint protection, firewall rules, and security updates
- Support security awareness training and assist in threat intelligence collection
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of IT security or network administration experience
- Understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and common attack vectors
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Wazuh, Splunk, or Security Onion)
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, etc.)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and incident response skills
- Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar penetration testing credential
- Experience with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC2 frameworks
